Industry Focus



Jonathan Kaplan has served in a variety of leadership positions in higher education, business and the public sector. He leverages this experience to help LLR evaluate new investment opportunities and support the growth of its portfolio companies.

Jonathan previously held a number of senior executive positions over a 16-year career at Laureate Education, the leading global higher education company. Most recently, he served as CEO of the Laureate Online division, and President & CEO of Walden University. Earlier in his career, Jonathan served in the White House as special assistant to the President for economic policy under President Bill Clinton, and he practiced law as an associate at Covington & Burling, a leading international law firm. Jonathan also is a lecturer at Georgetown University in higher education leadership and ethics.
