LLR Partners invested in SDI (System Development.Integration, LLC), a systems integrator specializing in advanced security technologies and infrastructure improvement for the public sector. The investment will support SDI’s continued growth through acquisitions and expansion of its global footprint.

SDI is LLR’s second government IT services investment in 2012. Monument Capital Group also participated in the round.

“The caliber and depth of both human and capital resources that will be brought to bear by these firms present an amazing opportunity for SDI, its stakeholders and clients to maximize their organizational potential,” states David A. Gupta, Founder and CEO of SDI.

For more than twenty years, SDI has been the trusted technology provider for large organizations with public-facing critical operations.  Focused on the state and local government market, the firm is well-regarded for its ability to rapidly deliver complex, large-scale application and infrastructure deployments under tight time constraints. SDI has specific expertise in public safety and homeland security solutions, with deep experience in designing, building and operating state-of-the-art command centers, Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) systems, video surveillance systems, and various other technologies.  SDI’s client portfolio includes some of the nation’s largest airport systems, water utilities, toll authorities, public school systems, 911 centers and public transit systems.

“We are excited about our partnership with Monument and our collective investment in SDI,” said David Stienes, Partner on the Business Services investment team at LLR Partners. “The company is run by an exceptional management team with a long history of delivering cutting-edge solutions and building lasting relationships with customers. Already on an impressive growth path, SDI faces significant opportunities to lead additional, major infrastructure improvements across the public sector.”

The co-investors additionally complement SDI’s growing network of industry advisors and vendor partners by creating a hands-on Advisory Board featuring extensive domestic and international experience to draw upon in driving global government market growth.
