LLR Invests in PCS, the Leading Independent and Conflict-Free Provider of Retirement Plan Solutions

October 31, 2017

LLR Partners completed a minority investment in Professional Capital Services (PCS), the leading independent and conflict-free retirement services platform automating the sale, design, valuation and management of retirement plans. PCS offers its services to over 800 channel partners to deliver a customizable platform ideally suited for registered investment advisors, independent broker dealers and investment management firms serving the retirement ecosystem.

“One of our founding principles 16 years ago was a commitment to act as a trusted platform for advisors looking for a pure, non-proprietary platform for their plan fiduciary clients. Since then, we have built our technology and service offering to empower financial advisors and third-party administrators to deliver an end-to-end, conflict-free retirement platform for plan sponsors across the U.S.,” said Mark Klein, Founder & CEO. “Our team is excited to welcome LLR as a growth investor and local partner. We believe LLR’s deep experience and relationships across the financial services and technology ecosystems will help accelerate our next stage of advisor-focused product development and client growth.”

LLR is partnering with the existing PCS management and ownership team to help expand product capabilities and build upon the company’s market leadership position and dedication to its advisor-partners and their clients. The company currently serves more than 2,000 retirement plan sponsors encompassing more than 150,000 plan participants and has been one of the fastest growing, independent retirement plan providers in the industry.

“The retirement market has evolved over the past decade as consumers increasingly demand price transparency and conflict-free investment options, especially when it comes to their retirement investments. Since its founding, the company has been the independent, transparent and commission-free option for advisors and plan sponsors to meet this need,” said Ryan Goldenberg, Vice President at LLR Partners. “We are excited to partner with Mark and the existing senior management team as they continue to deliver a best-in-class retirement plan solution to advisors and plan sponsors alike,” noted Mitchell Hollin, Partner at LLR Partners.
