LLR’s Howard Ross to be Recognized with the PACT Legend Award

LLR Partners announced today that Howard Ross will be recognized as the Legend Award Honoree at the PACT Enterprise Awards on May 13, 2019. The award is presented annually by the Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies (PACT) to an individual who has actively supported technology and innovation in the Philadelphia region through leadership and exemplary work.
“Howard’s impact on Philadelphia’s entrepreneurial and capital ecosystem is immeasurable, spanning over four decades of dedicated effort,” said Dean Miller, President & CEO of PACT. “In his 20 years at LLR, he continues to serve entrepreneurs not only with capital, but also sound advice and counsel that has always been his trademark.”
Howard Ross co-founded LLR Partners in 1999 to invest and create long term value in lower middle market businesses in the Greater Philadelphia Region. Over 20 years and with more than $3.5 billion raised across five funds, LLR today continues to invest in regional businesses as well as throughout the U.S. The firm is a flexible provider of capital for growth, recapitalizations and buyouts to companies in several industries, with a focus on technology, healthcare and services businesses.
Prior to LLR, Howard was the partner-in-charge of Arthur Andersen’s Growth Company Practice in the Greater Philadelphia market. In his 26 years at Arthur Andersen, he built a practice of over 80 people, including five partners, serving over 175 rapidly growing companies.
Howard is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Agility Recovery, Key2Act, Numotion, Rapid Ratings and Rizing. During his career, he has also served on the boards of Alsbridge, BrightHeart Veterinary Centers, eResearch Technology (NASDAQ: ERT), excelleRx, Five Below (NASDAQ:FIVE), Gestalt, InnaPhase, Iron Mountain (NYSE: IRM), Maxwell Systems, Medmark, Pet360, SDI Health, SEI Investments (NASDAQ: SEIC), Singer Equities, Taratec and UltiSat. Howard holds a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
