Biography

Jim Murphy is a Senior Managing Director at LLR Partners, where he brings deep experience in financial leadership and operational management for high-growth companies. At LLR, Jim supports portfolio companies and leads the firm’s Value Creation Team.

Prior to joining LLR, Jim served as CFO and COO of Greensmith Energy Management Systems, a leading grid-scale energy storage provider, where he played a key role in the company’s rapid growth and successful sale. Previously, he was COO and CFO of DDC Advocacy, a SaaS-based software and services provider to the government affairs industry, which was acquired by Omnicom.

Earlier in his career, Jim was EVP and CFO of Cybertrust, a global information security software and services company, where he helped scale the business significantly and supported its sale to Verizon. Jim has also held CFO roles at several private and publicly traded companies. He has been recognized for his leadership, including being named NVTC CFO of the Year.
