Biography

Joseph Courtesis brings more than three decades of public safety leadership and investigative technology expertise to his role. He currently serves as Senior Vice President, Global Law Enforcement, at 3SI Security Systems. As a Senior Operating Advisor at LLR, Joseph leverages his insights and industry experience to help LLR identify, evaluate and manage new investment opportunities in public safety and security.

Over the course of his 27-year career with the NYPD, Joseph served as Commander of the Central Investigations Division, the Real Time Crime Center, and multiple precincts across New York City. He played a leading role in hundreds of high-profile investigations and is nationally recognized for his subject matter expertise in facial recognition policy, investigative technology, and social media intelligence.

Joseph is an active member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Crime Prevention Committee, the Biometric Institute’s Security & Integrity Group, and the Security Industry Association’s Facial Recognition Working Group.
