Overview:

LLR Partners, a Philadelphia-based private equity firm with more than $7 billion of committed capital across seven funds, is hosting a virtual Private Equity Case Competition for college sophomores. Teams of four students will compete in two rounds:

  • Round 1: Identify a prospective take-private company and submit a 1–2-page executive summary on the investment thesis
    • Case prompt provided to selected applicants January 10, 2025 with submissions due January 19, 2025
  • Round 2: Construct an investment thesis and build a financial model for an LLR portfolio company, then present to LLR leadership and company management live via Zoom
    • Students will receive Round 2 materials on January 27, 2025
    • Final presentations are scheduled 4:00pm – 7:00pm the evening of February 13, 2025

Eligibility:

  • Apply as a team of 4. Each member must submit an individual application. One team member will then email the names of their teammates to [email protected].
  • Must currently be enrolled in a U.S. undergraduate institution with a graduation date of Dec 2026/May 2027
  • Available the evening of Thursday, February 13, 2025 if selected to participate in the final round
